Le FVA, aussi interdisciplinaire qu’indiscipliné, a toujours préféré la prise de
risque et les propositions surprenantes. Pour ses 10 ans, la directrice D. Kimm et sa
compagnie Les Filles électriques vous offrent une édition plus déjantée que
jamais.
Parmi les grands spectacles, tous à 10$ taxes incluses, Michel
Faubert, co-invité d’honneur du FVA et reconnu pour l’originalité de sa
démarche artistique, vous offre une soirée de Spoken Métal le 12 mars. Entouré de
Michel Langevin de Voivod et de Ramachandra
Borcar (aka DJ RAM), entre autres invités, le racontage à mononcle
Jean-Guy en prend pour son rhume et tous les trous noirs du monde d’en haut fondent
sur La Sala Rossa.

Choosing Melissa Auf der
Maur as one of our 10th Anniversary Guest of Honour was easy. She’s
independent, generous and astonishing, just like the Festival is.
C’est aussi et surtout une artiste indépendante, multidisciplinaire et exigeante,
en plus d’être une rockeuse flamboyante de renommée internationale.
We honour her sass, her freedom, her inner warrior and her spirit.
Et en l’honneur du FVA, Melissa a créé un spectacle unique, pour faire découvrir
son univers comme jamais auparavant.
“When I was thirteen, I stared into the night sky long enough to grasp the notion
of infinity. Even since, I’ve been orbiting around the themes of time travel and
duality. Contemplating, exploring the dual realities of earth and outer space,
masculine and feminine, inner and outer worlds, heart and mind… My concert at La
Tulipe, in honor of the Festival Voix d’Amériques 10th anniversary, is an extension
of this exploration. An intimate show, created exclusively for this event, it will be
stripped down to bass, synthesizers, minimal guitar and visuals. I will experiment
with my current repertoire and play tribute to the influential work of others.” —
