Audiences are invited to participate actively in these open-mic events,
where up-and-coming performers can do their thing and make a name for
themselves in a friendly, informal setting. All performers — known, unknown,
soon-to-be-known, published or not, first time before an audience or not — are
invited to come and perform their writings, poems, songs or stories. Sign up
with the host at the venue starting at 4:30 pm. Each participant has a maximum
of five minutes for his or her performance.

Don’t bother me with your chocolates, honey!

An English-language show featuring an explosive mix of amusements,
absurdities, activism, slung truths, rhythm and rap, kitschiness, craziness and
other subtleties. Add “impure” poetry and shake it all up. Sense of humour
recommended. Welcome one and all… and who knows, maybe Cupid will be among the
guests!
Once again our talented enchantress Alexis O’Hara will be running the show.
To add a little Valentine’s flair, pass on your special requests to her and
perhaps she’ll work a little magic…
The evening will be co-produced by Wired on Words and Music, a Canadian
spoken-word CD-production company.
Show recorded by CBC Radio One.
